Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Paraffin, Polybutene, c11-12 Isoparaffin, Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil, Ceresin, Ozokerite, Cera Microcristallina (Cire Microcristalline/Microcrystalline Wax), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate. This is priced at $17 which is pretty good since it didn’t require a lot of product to cover my lips. Because of this colour, it helped to tone down the lipstick that I wore on top, which in this case was Rouge Gourmand Lipstick in Macaron, allowing it to look a little bit more office appropriate. It also made my lipstick last longer even though I wore lip balm underneath the liner. This lip liner is slightly creamier than the Waterproof Eyeliner and applied smoothly and easily. Lise Watier Waterproof Lip Crayon in Rose Mauve is a matte deep rose mauve shade. Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Paraffin, C11-12 Isoparaffin, Polybutene, Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil, Ceresin, Ozokerite, Cera Microcristallina (Cire microcristalline/Microcrystalline Wax), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate. This is priced at $18, and to be honest, I would probably skip it for another eyeliner with a better formula. I tried to apply it on my upper lashline and it just wouldn’t adhere. ![]() While the colour is beautiful, I had trouble applying it because of its drier texture. Lise Watier Waterproof Eyeliner in Violet is a shimmery purple eyeliner. Ingredients: Talc, Mica, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Caprylyl Methicone, C30-45 Alkyl Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Cetyl Dimethicone, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol. Priced at $36, which is less than half the price of Mizuaoi, Lise Watier Eyeshadow Quartet in Aquarella is definitely a more affordable alternative. From online swatches, it looks like the pink and blue in Mizuaoi are a little more shimmery, but the dark eggplant shade is the same level of satin. When I was swatching the palette, I also noticed the resemblance between Aquarella and the SUQQU palette in 08 Mizuaoi. I wore the palette to an event and other girls actually commented on how beautiful the eyeshadow colours were! ![]() Wear time is also fabulous it wore for the entire day without obvious fading. The shimmer in the shimmery shades is really fine without any chunks of glitter. The texture of all four shades is fantastic all of them are soft, buttery and adhere very well to the eyelid. ![]() The palette is comprised of four eyeshadows: a cool shimmery pink, a shimmery pale yellow, a shimmery baby blue, and a satin deep eggplant. The obvious star of the show, the Eyeshadow Quartet in Aquarella is absolutely beautiful, both in the packaging as well as in the texture and colours of the eyeshadows. Rouge Gourmand Lipstick in Macaron was previously reviewed here, and Light Cap Nail Lacquer in Euphorbia was previous reviewed here. I was lucky to receive pretty much the entire collection to review for you so I hope you find it helpful! I will also be giving away a couple pieces from this collection at the end of the month so you can enjoy the beauty that is Lise Watier Aquarella for yourself. Lise Watier Aquarella collection for spring 2012 is one of my absolute favourite collection released this Spring.

Woe betide the creative person involved in any perceived mishandling of some beloved intellectual property. Spin the wheel of public figures (who will it land on next?), and with alarming speed and vehemence, a horde of entitled strangers will rise up to criticize and condemn, even going so far as to harass people they've never met in real life for offenses both imagined and real. Behind a comfy keyboard, the same seemingly rational person who preaches civility in film discourse might then turn around and hurl expletives at a customer service rep or unleash a torrent of abusive words at a politician. Irate comments and tweets are certainly lamentable, but in the rush to keep up with deadlines and the online news cycle, members of the movie blogosphere are sometimes as guilty as anyone else of perpetuating the rage virus. On the Internet, as in life, no one's hands are clean. Itchy trigger-fingers have evolved to become itchy Twitter-fingers.Īs trite as it might seem to trot out social media as a movie monster, a damning picture of it does start to form when you view it through the blood-red filter of 28 Days Later. Now they're more likely to identify with the scene in Chef where Favreau's character sends out the tweet heard 'round the world. Neurotic singles used to identify with that cringe-inducing scene in Swingers where Jon Favreau's character has the answering-machine meltdown and can't exercise enough restraint to keep from compulsively calling back and leaving repeated messages. In that way, 28 Days Later is timelier than ever. The film's fast-moving, outside-the-genre-box zombies are an extension of our own frantic minds. That's something that has only gotten amped up more in the last decade and a half. Intolerance can certainly breed rage, but what Boyle also seems to be talking about here is people's need for instant gratification. When it's not delivered at the speed desired, people just lose it." You get it in hospital waiting rooms and you get it in airplanes and airports. There's a very specific social intolerance of each other. When asked what issues he was trying to explore with 28 Days Later, Boyle said: If nothing else, 28 Days Later is a film that keeps that social commentary tradition very much alive. Starting with Night of the Living Dead ( required viewing for horror newbies), the late George Romero proved adept at interweaving social commentary with his pioneering zombie films. If it isn't a zombie movie, then what is it? Slate called 28 Days Later a zombie flick turned humanist parable. Even today, hardcore fans might want to play semantics and say 28 Days Later doesn't truly belong to the zombie film genre (though perhaps one way of looking at it would be to say that it invented a new sub-genre). Films such as World War Z have since carried the fast-zombie ball further, but as late as 2008, you could still see self-identified zombie "purists" like Simon Pegg penning convincing essays for The Guardian about why zombies, as avatars of creeping mortality, should never be allowed to run. These zombies were runners, more like the galloping dead. Mercedes and The Leftovers, respectively.Īs a zombie movie, 28 Days Later bucked standards in its treatment of the way zombies move. The faces in front of the camera have since gone on to great things, too. These days, Boyle is an Academy Award-winning filmmaker who is preparing to take on the tentpole of the 25th James Bond movie, while Garland has come into his own as a director to rival the young Ridley Scott with his back-to-back science fiction gems Ex Machina and Annihilation. With all of that said, let’s get on with the show. I won’t be using these recaps to blithely trash a brand that means so much to so many people, but be forewarned that there will be no stanning here. Suffice it to say that the MCU’s hiatus was absolutely not supposed to be this long multiple movies and shows had been planned for 2020. But a lot - too much - has happened in the intervening period, most of it far too horrifying and well known to bother recounting in a recap of a streaming series. ![]() It’s been a year and a half since the release of the last MCU story, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and it’s not as though everything was going swimmingly back then, either. A WWII tanker was turned into a vessel for carrying wine so California wines could be delivered to Texas and New York bypassing the railways. For the next 14 years that Louis Petri was President acquisitions were made and publicity as well. Many more major deals were in the works and by the early 1950s United Vintners were producing more wine than Roma Wine (a long time sponsor of the show Suspense). United Vintners then sold their wineries to the Allied Grape Growers. Louis Petri continued to grow the company by forming Allied Grape Growers and creating another company called United Vintners which Petri Wines became a part of. They include continuous improvement, respect for workers, long-term philosophy, producing the right results with the right processes, adding value, and organizational learning. The TPS incorporates a range a set of underlying principles, otherwise known as the Toyota Way. Unlike other companies that are wary of any advancements, the TPS is welcoming of change because it encourages the company to improve and adapt. This means that Toyota’s Lean system is more than just an approach to manufacturing – it is a social philosophy in which the mutual trust between workers and personal growth is stimulated. It is essential to note that the TPS is a socio-technical system that pays a great deal of attention to respect for employees and teamwork (“Toyota Production System”). The latter is associated with producing only what is needed within a continuous manufacturing flow. The former implies the elimination of defective products by stopping equipment as soon as an error occurs. TPS incorporates the two Lean concepts: Jidoka and Just-in-Time. Prior to establishing the system, Toyota has worked on continuous improvements and ensuring that customers get their vehicles in the most efficient and the quickest way possible (“Toyota Production System”). The Toyota Production System (TPS) has embraced the philosophy of the “complete elimination of all waste imbuing all aspects of production in pursuit of the most efficient methods” (“Toyota Production System”). Toyota’s manufacturing approach is the most prominent example of Lean since the company’s founder was the first to develop the system.
